A life of defaults
There are places and people that we get to go to, without any ceremony: Homes, lovers, family. Those are the places and people that we go to, by default.
There are other places and people, that require more ceremony: More coordination. More agreement. More effort.
Some choose a life with many, solid defaults. With low coordination cost.
Others, choose a life with very few defaults. And a higher coordination cost.
For some, to go to the default becomes an obligation.
To default, also means failure to fulfil an obligation.
And for this reason - living a life with fewer defaults, more agreement, more ceremony, and more coordination becomes quite sensible.
