Ambition

I have an aversion to the word "ambition". At the root of it means to "go around and canvas for votes".

It is the popularity contest of it that puts me of.
Recently I was called ambitious, much to my chagrin.

Their explanation: They see strong desire in me to not numb myself.
And yes: That is an ambitious task.
