Amor Fati
"Quidquid latine dictum sit, altum videtur" — said in Latin, anything sounds profound.
"Amor Fati" — to have a love for one's fate. To embrace what is happening because that is all that could be happening.
Years ago a friend's place burned down, leaving her with just the clothes on her back. The next day she rented a club, held a "burning down the house" party, and then got on a plane to the other side of the world.
Next she found herself in the war in Afghanistan, dodging RPGs.
Amor Fati. They say in Latin.
