Before office hours

Back when office hours and an office were the default, I met a man that everyone wanted some time from.

He had a neat trick: You could choose to schedule some time months into the future. Or, you could join him for breakfast at 6am in the cafeteria.

People self-selected how important it was to meet up with him.

I think of this often when I decide to start on Something Important: Am I willing to go out of routing to do this?
