They have no vested interest in what you will do with it. They do not care.

Both people who hate and love you care how you will receive the feedback, muddling it.

Then you have the rarity: The person that cares enough and knows enough. The person that knows feedback is just feedback, and no rescuing needs to happen: There is a deep trust in the relationship.
