Buddhist hit-list

Buddhists, have high regard for all life. Sitting in a meditation hall and feeling a mosquito land on my skin, I killed the urge to smash it.

The next morning during a work period I uncovered a nest of locusts. "Kill them" the buddhist gardener says. Noticing my shocked expression he laughs and says: "They are on the hit list. As you can imagine, it is a very short list".

I try to let go of any urge to kill. And sometimes, with great deliberation, something has to be killed because it does not fit.
