Crossing bridges
To "cross bridges only once one gets to it" makes little sense: Crossing bridges are easy.
Bridges are constructed and exist for a particular purpose: That of crossing over. Thought went into it, and care was taken to make it sturdy. The interesting realisation is this: The placement of bridges is also a part of the consideration.
Before we can cross the bridge, we have to get to it. To get to it, we need to decide which bridges we want to cross.
That is an active decision, to take today.
