Curious conversation choice

There is a curious choice when a conversation is being built: This that you want to say next: Is it additive, or destructive?

Adding comes with many "yes, and..." utterances and makes the conversation bigger. Destructive comes with "but, this..." and carves it down to a shape.

The choice you make depends on where you want the conversation to go.
