Flagrant desires

The author Ursula Le Guin while answering a survey for a sixtieth class reunion found this question:

"Are you living your secret desires?"

A decidedly odd question since living your desires means they are fulfilled — is what I would think.

Ursula answered: "I have none, my desires are flagrant."

Flagrant desires: A right we all should be able to claim.
