Good sceptic

I am not a sceptic. I wish I was. I know some good sceptics: And their lives are rich.

A true sceptic must verify everything of importance for themselves first. They take the stance of "I know that is true for you, and I respect that. It is not true for me yet".

They go through life rediscovering everything for themselves. Not distracted by the newest shiny thing, because life is short and learning takes effort.

The really good sceptics realise that nothing is truly knowable and some things can practically be accepted as "known enough to act on".
