High-touch tea
High-touch.
A now old phrase, to rally against the then-new phrase of "high-tech".
Things have become sleek, automated, and even magical in how it appears.
Coffee now is a button press, packaged in pods. Very high tech, very low touch.
Tea is where I am enjoying high-touch. Brewing it myself in a lidded bowl. Learning how the leaves react from infusion to infusion.
I resist attacking this problem with tech: No thermometers, no timers. And I relax into getting in touch with the water and the leaves in a simple container.
