How many pleases

This is an absolute I choose: We are but beings saying "please" and "thank you" with every interaction.

A perceived attack has an underlying "please" to it: Please see me, please hear me, please validate me, please.

The thought exercise is: With how many (very hard to hear) "pleases" can one be present, until the please becomes "please let us acknowledge this is not a space that is healthy for us".

Where that us can be an individual, a group, or a company.
