Joy of hearing people

When people speak, they are offering things to hear. I get great joy from receiving that offer.

The words, the metaphors behind the words and the context that people set when they start talking: These are offerings and asks to connect.

Mostly, I miss that offer. I am stuck in the ritual of greeting or the need to be on top of what's happening for me.
