Not adding
Once participated in an industry panel. Afterwards, someone expressed surprise that I did not speak as much, as loudly, or as passionately as they expected.
I had nothing to add — the right things were happening.
At a training amongst my peers with international trainers: Unbeknownst to me, a bet was made on when (not if) I was going to take over the class.
I did not and "won" the bet by default. It was not my place to add, and I was learning.
Two examples where I acted surprisingly, by not doing anything.
