Quiet observation

We are introduced at a conference. She says “I’ve been told we need to meet”. I nod and we stand in comfortable silence, observing the rest of the group performing conversation.

We go up the escalators together.

At the top I say to her: “I notice, that you noticed, that I have a limp.”
She responds: “And I notice, that you noticed, that my hand trembles.”

Again, I nodded. And we had lunch, watching the rest of the group perform connection.
