Really doing what scares you
In the spirit of doing what scares me, I sign up for a stand-up class. For a few weeks, we work at it. Write the jokes, do the bits.
The final night is performing your comedy-gold to two comedians for feedback.
I do my five minutes of highly polished vignette's.
Comedian A says: "That was an excellent TED talk".
Comedian B follows with: "Now it just needs to be funny."
I did not do what scares me. I did what I know. That night, that scared me.
