Ritual and play

Ritual and play cannot exist at the same time said, Gregory Bateson.

Ritual is a known sequence, executed. Unchanged.
Play is the creation of new sequences and is unpredictable.

They can exist in a hierarchy together.

Ritualised play. Or: Playing, towards new rituals.
