Scratching itches

Not all itches are the same. "Scratching an itch" sometimes means something else entirely.

There is the lazy itch, the unconscious twitch of discomfort that needs attending to.

And then there is the kind of itch that requires soothing lotion — by the bucket.

When next someone tells you they are scratching an itch: Ask them which is it.

A real bad itch requires full attention.
