Synergy

The word "synergy" is a few centuries old. It became a cliche a few decades ago when "corporate synergies" became the joke.

It just means "working together". That is it.

It is a sad reflection on us that it requires a word — and then for it to become a joke — for a thing that we all deep down want to do.
