Tea snob

I am a tea snob now.

Or a kinder way to say that: I am exploring a new area in which to make finer distinctions, and then comparisons.

This is fundamentally what drives me: To be able to make a distinction where none existed for me previously. And then being able to make a comparison.

From comparisons, I want to make value judgements of what works for me.

"Rooibos or Five Roses™ tea?"
"Red, white or semi-sweet wine?"
"Career-driven family man, or failure?"

All standard questions in my environment.

To make finer and finer distinctions in all areas of life is my survival strategy. Or a kinder way to say that: Being a snob is what allows me to grow.
