That is how one of the largest diamonds mined at Kimberley got to the United Kingdom. The story goes that elaborate plans were made and published as a ruse to distract would-be thieves.

The simplicity and courage of letting the diamond out of their sight and trusting that the system will take care of it remains a lesson I admire.
