This book is a lie
At a religious gathering with friends who are believers, the teacher picks up the text and declares:
"This book is a lie."
My head snapped to catch their expressions of shock at the teacher's stated disbelief.
She continued by declaring: "... and it is a useful lie." That is when I got onto the teacher's train to see where she was going.
My friends were left behind, unable to process what happened.
It is always true that the sceptics and the believers need to be convinced differently. It is also true that it is the easiest to lose the believers.
