Underlining is effort

Underlining while reading is effort. Marking my books still feels like I am transgressing and that still causes resistance. Then turning those markings into stuff worth coming back, to is even more effort.

It is all effort that expects intention. And this increases my joy.

Now I am underlying the videos I watch as well. I get through them slower now, it is effort, and I am happier for it.
