Useful feedback

On a stage in a different country in front of a group of peers at the end of a talk I said:

“Don’t be nice, be useful” when I asked for their feedback.

That was a plea.
It was met with laughter.

True feedback is rare.

Feedback that reflects back what is hidden to you. Feedback that is about you, and not the person giving you the feedback.

Feedback, that is useful.
