What problem are we solving?
In a world filled with many conflicting outcomes per moment, a pointed focussing question is helpful. I learned this one: "What problem are we solving?"
And I started pointing that question at every situation where I felt confusion. Usually dropping it with a bit of a huff. Always with an energy of "now things will get better!"
It took me a long while to start asking this of myself: What problem am I solving, by pointedly wielding this question?
Wanting to appear clever and aware is the true answer. A more kind answer may be to create clarity for me.
Now I do this more often: I declare my confusion.
