Where to step in

It is only four steps:

  1. Recognise what is happening
  2. Decide that something needs to change
  3. Figure out how to make it different
  4. Do it

Not always easy steps, but simple.

As an outsider to someone's process we can gently be a part of step one: By reflecting on what we see back to them.

Step three we can add resources and in that way shape the plan. In step four, we can offer our participation in the plan.

What we categorically can not do, is be involved in any way in step two.

Step two must be the clear choice of the person who wants the change. Anything else is manipulating the situation.
