Worst thing ever

It has been said that when a two-year-old scream as if it is the worst thing that has ever happened to them — it may well be.

That ice cream they were having, loving everything that happened in their being and body while ingesting the delicious cold sugar: That may indeed be the best moment they ever had.

And for that to fall on the floor, crushing their joy: Devastating.

As older people, the very worst thing does not come as often. It still feels as if we have lost our favourite ice cream. And as older people, we can remind ourselves that we have the resources to find more of what which fits our being.
