Some people thrive when something is wrong and has to be improved.
Those same people find it hard when the wrong thing is not obvious.

This sets up an opportunity: Instead of starting in a good place, start in the worst place. Instead of proposing your best idea, propose your worst.

This will rouse some people to immediately point out why that's the worst idea and start working towards a collective best idea.
